The mountain lies there, not for climbing or distant viewing, but for finding a stable support like a mountain, a relaxed state of coexisting peacefully with oneself and all things.
The bag is an extension of the body and also a reflection of the state of mind.
The name “Waili” is derived from the word “Wuanshan” (meaning “lying on the mountain”). This handbag was designed with this meaning in mind.

We shaped it using natural cowhide, with its rounded curves echoing the lazy and drooping spine of the mountain.
